Jobat in Belgium seeks a senior accounting leader to shape the future of finance in a dynamic, international setting. You will lead the accounting function, oversee the month-end and year-end close, and coach a small team while ensuring accurate financial reporting.

You will coordinate external audits, supervise VAT compliance across Belgian and European jurisdictions, and drive process improvements, controls, and automation initiatives including AI.

Qualifications

• Senior accounting leader with responsibility for end-to-end close and reporting.
• Experience coaching a small accounting team and coordinating audits.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian/European VAT and compliance.
• Ability to drive process improvements, controls, and finance automation.

Responsabilités

• Lead the accounting function and ensure compliant financial reporting.
• Own the month-end and year-end close process.
• Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team (2 direct reports).
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger.
• Lead external audits and coordinate with auditors.
• Oversee Belgian and European VAT compliance.
• Advise on accounting policies and complex transactions.
• Review reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and key journal entries.
• Improve processes, controls, and accounting procedures.
• Drive finance systems, automation, and AI initiatives.
