Job summary

Tergos is seeking an IT Economics Manager to partner with Technology, Finance and Business leaders. You will steer IT budgets and performance across a large international portfolio, delivering actionable cost insights and governance across CAPEX and OPEX.

You will collaborate with global teams to optimize spend, provide executive level reporting, and support strategic IT initiatives with data-driven analysis.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to translate financial insights into clear business messages for senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management at C-level across regions.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for IT portfolios (CAPEX/OPEX).

Responsibilities

A leading international financial institution is looking for an IT Economics Manager to join its Technology Office. In this role, you will act as a trusted financial partner to Technology, Finance, and Business stakeholders. You'll steer IT budgets, costs, and performance across a large, international IT portfolio.

The Role

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year strategic planning (CAPEX/OPEX) for IT Run portfolios
• Monitor and analyse IT spending across applications, infrastructure, licenses, vendors, and shared services
• Produce financial reports, dashboards, and executive committee presentations, ensuring compliance with group IT taxonomy standards
• Identify, quantify, and track IT cost-saving initiatives while engaging C-level and senior stakeholders internationally

Your Profile

• 10+ years of experience in Controlling, Finance, IT, Operations, or Consulting, ideally within financial services
• Strong academic background in IT, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration
• Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint); experience with SAP Integrated Planning, ServiceNow, or Power BI is a plus
• Strong communicator, able to translate financial insights into clear business messages for senior stakeholders
