Job summary

Fike zoekt een Application Engineer Explosion Protection (EP) die technische vraagstukken omzet in praktische oplossingen. Je ondersteunt klanten en salespartners bij toepassingen, stelt BOM's op, berekeningen maakt en offertes en ontwerpdocumentatie helpt opstellen.

Je controleert tekeningen en documentatie en zorgt dat alles aansluit bij de klanttoepassing. Je werkt onder begeleiding van ervaren collega’s maar krijgt steeds meer verantwoordelijkheid naarmate je kennis groeit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in een technische richting afgerond.
• Technische tekeningen en relevante normen kunnen lezen en begrijpen.
• Interesse in engineering, technische toepassingen en klantvraagstukken.
• Analytisch en nauwkeurig werken.
• Informatie snel kunnen verzamelen, beoordelen en vertalen naar een praktische oplossing.
• Zelfstandig kunnen werken en samenwerkingsgericht.
• Goede mondelinge en schriftelijke communicatie.

Responsibilities

• Ondersteunen van klanten en salespartners bij technische vragen over explosion protection.
• Analyseren van klantbehoeften en vertalen naar Fike-oplossingen.
• Uitvoeren van berekeningen, producten selecteren en BOM's opstellen.
• Helpen bij offertes, technische voorstellen en ontwerpdocumentatie.
• Controleren van tekeningen en documentatie op aansluiting bij de toepassing.
• Ondersteunen bij installatie-, toepassings- en troubleshooting vraagstukken.
• Samenwerken met collega's en andere afdelingen om oplossingen te vinden.
• Verzamelen en analyseren van informatie wanneer een toepassing afwijkt.
• Helder uitleggen aan klanten waarom een oplossing geschikt is.
• Werken met CRM, CPQ, ERP en calculatietools.

Wat doe je?

Geen dag is precies hetzelfde. Je houdt je onder andere bezig met:

• Je ondersteunt klanten en salespartners bij technische vragen en toepassingen op het gebied van explosion protection.
• Je analyseert de situatie en behoeften van de klant en vertaalt deze naar een passende Fike-oplossing.
• Je maakt berekeningen, selecteert de juiste producten en stelt materiaallijsten (BOM’s) op.
• Je helpt mee met het maken van offertes, technische voorstellen en ontwerpdocumentatie.
• Je controleert technische tekeningen en documentatie en zorgt dat deze aansluiten bij de toepassing van de klant.
• Je ondersteunt bij installatie-, toepassings- en troubleshooting vraagstukken.
• Je onderzoekt complexere technische problemen en werkt samen met collega's en andere afdelingen om tot een oplossing te komen.
• Je verzamelt en analyseert informatie wanneer een toepassing afwijkt van de standaard.
• Je legt klanten op een duidelijke manier uit waarom een bepaalde oplossing geschikt is voor hun situatie.
• Je werkt met verschillende interne systemen, zoals CRM-, CPQ-, ERP- en calculatietools.
• Je blijft op de hoogte van Fike-producten, toepassingen, normen en procedures.
• Je bent onderdeel van een technische support- en bereikbaarheid rotatie.

Je werkt hierbij onder begeleiding van ervaren collega's, maar krijgt steeds meer verantwoordelijkheid naarmate je kennis en ervaring groeien.

We Zoeken Iemand Die

• een bacheloropleiding in een technische of aanverwante richting heeft afgerond;
• technische tekeningen en relevante industriële normen kan lezen en begrijpen;
• interesse heeft in engineering, technische toepassingen en klantvraagstukken;
• analytisch en nauwkeurig werkt;
• informatie snel kan verzamelen, beoordelen en vertalen naar een praktische oplossing;
• zelfstandig kan werken, maar ook graag samenwerkt met collega's, sales en klanten;
• duidelijk kan communiceren, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk;
• klantgericht is en graag meedenkt met de klant;
• goed kan omgaan met verschillende en soms onverwachte technische situaties;
• vlot overweg kan met Microsoft Office;
• Nederlands en Engels goed beheerst, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk;
• bereid is om ongeveer 10% van de tijd te reizen, voornamelijk lokaal en regionaal.

What will you do?

No two days are exactly the same. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting customers and sales partners with technical questions and applications related to explosion protection.
• Analyzing the customer's situation and needs and translating these into a suitable Fike solution.
• Performing calculations, selecting the appropriate products, and preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Assisting with the preparation of quotations, technical proposals, and design documentation.
• Reviewing technical drawings and documentation and ensuring they are aligned with the customer's application.
• Providing support with installation, application, and troubleshooting issues.
• Investigating more complex technical problems and working together with colleagues and other departments to find a solution.
• Gathering and analyzing information when an application deviates from the standard.
• Clearly explaining to customers why a particular solution is suitable for their specific situation.
• Working with various internal systems, such as CRM, CPQ, ERP, and calculation tools.
• Keeping up to date with Fike products, applications, standards, and procedures.
• Participating in a technical support and on-call rotation.

• Has completed a bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical field;
• Can read and understand technical drawings and relevant industry standards;
• Has an interest in engineering, technical applications, and customer-related technical challenges;
• Works analytically and accurately;

• Can work independently but also enjoys collaborating with colleagues, sales teams, and customers;
