Job summary

Fike Corporation in Belgium is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure products and processes meet quality standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. You will work on the shop floor and at a desk, auditing and improving processes while collaborating with Production, Engineering, Sales and suppliers.

You will also identify quality issues, record results, and support in preventing errors.

Als Quality Assurance Inspector zorg je ervoor dat de producten en processen van Fike voldoen aan onze kwaliteitsnormen, de verwachtingen van onze klanten en de geldende regelgeving.

Je bent zowel op de werkvloer als achter de computer actief. Je controleert producten en processen, helpt problemen met kwaliteit op te lossen, voert audits uit en werkt mee aan het verbeteren van onze manier van werken.

Je werkt samen met collega's van Productie, Engineering, Sales en andere afdelingen en hebt ook contact met klanten en leveranciers. Je werkt zelfstandig, maar maakt deel uit van een team waarin kwaliteit en samenwerking centraal staan.

Wat doe je?

Kwaliteit controleren

• Controleren of producten en processen voldoen aan de afgesproken kwaliteitsvereisten.
• Werken met technische tekeningen, instructies en specificaties.
• Kwaliteitsproblemen en afwijkingen opsporen en helpen oplossen.
• Resultaten van controles correct registreren en rapporteren.
• Productie ondersteunen om fouten en kwaliteitsproblemen te voorkomen.

Problemen oplossen en verbeteren

• Onderzoeken waarom een kwaliteitsprobleem is ontstaan.
• Meewerken aan oplossingen en opvolgen of deze effectief zijn.
• Meewerken aan verbeteringen van producten, processen en werkmethodes.
• Deelnemen aan de Material Review Board (MRB) voor producten of materialen die niet aan de eisen voldoen.

Audits en kwaliteitssystemen

• Uitvoeren van interne audits binnen Fike.
• Meewerken aan audits van klanten, leveranciers en externe instanties.
• Opvolgen van actiepunten uit audits.
• Meewerken aan het onderhouden en verbeteren van het Quality Management System (QMS) volgens ISO 9001.
• Helpen bij het up-to-date houden van procedures en kwaliteitsdocumentatie.

Regelgeving en productcertificatie

• Helpen ervoor te zorgen dat Fike voldoet aan relevante normen en regelgeving, waaronder ISO 9001, PED en ATEX.
• Ondersteunen bij productcertificatie en het opvolgen van de nodige vereisten.
• Samenwerken met Engineering en andere afdelingen om kwaliteitseisen al vroeg in de ontwikkeling van een product mee te nemen.

Samenwerken

• Samenwerken met collega's van Productie, Engineering, Sales, Marketing en andere afdelingen.
• Contact onderhouden met klanten en leveranciers wanneer er kwaliteitsproblemen zijn.
• Duidelijk communiceren over kwaliteitsvereisten, problemen en mogelijke oplossingen.
• Nieuwe medewerkers begeleiden en opleiden in taken waarvoor je bent opgeleid.

Wat verwachten we?

• Een opleiding in industriële engineering, elektromechanica, bedrijfskunde of een vergelijkbare richting, of gelijkwaardige ervaring.
• Minimaal 2 jaar ervaring in productie, engineering, inspectie, testing of kwaliteit.
• Kennis van ISO 9001:2015, PED en ATEX.
• Je kunt technische tekeningen en instructies begrijpen.
• Je kunt problemen analyseren en op basis van feiten tot een oplossing komen.
• Goede mondelinge en schriftelijke communicatieve vaardigheden.
• Je kunt goed werken met Microsoft Office.
• Je spreekt en schrijft goed Engels en Nederlands.
• Je kunt zelfstandig werken en bent gedisciplineerd.
• Je kunt goed samenwerken binnen een diverse en multidisciplinaire omgeving.

Extra troeven

As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you ensure that Fike’s products and processes meet our quality standards, customer expectations and applicable regulations.

You will be active both on the shop floor and behind the computer. You will inspect products and processes, help resolve quality issues, conduct audits and contribute to improving the way we work.

You will work closely with colleagues in Production, Engineering, Sales and other departments, as well as with customers and suppliers. You will work independently while being part of a team where quality and collaboration are key.

What will you do?

Quality Inspection

• Check that products and processes meet the agreed quality requirements.
• Work with technical drawings, instructions and specifications.
• Identify quality issues and non-conformities and help resolve them.
• Accurately record and report inspection results.
• Support Production in preventing errors and quality issues.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

• Investigate the root causes of quality issues.
• Contribute to solutions and follow up to ensure they are effective.
• Contribute to improvements in products, processes and working methods.
• Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) for products or materials that do not meet requirements.

Audits & Quality Systems

• Conduct internal audits within Fike.
• Support customer, supplier and external audits.
• Follow up on actions resulting from audits.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001.
• Help keep procedures and quality documentation up to date.

Regulatory Requirements & Product Certification

• Help ensure Fike complies with relevant standards and regulations, including ISO 9001, PED and ATEX.
• Support product certification activities and follow up on the required requirements.
• Work with Engineering and other departments to ensure quality requirements are considered early in the product development process.

Collaboration

• Work closely with colleagues in Production, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and other departments.
• Maintain contact with customers and suppliers when quality issues arise.
• Communicate quality requirements, issues and possible solutions clearly.
• Guide and train new employees in tasks and procedures for which you are qualified.

What do we expect?

• A degree or qualification in Industrial Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, inspection, testing or quality.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, PED and ATEX.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and instructions.
• Ability to analyse problems and develop solutions based on facts.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good written and spoken English and Dutch.
