Proactive Global is seeking an Application Engineer in Belgium to bridge engineering, product development and digitalisation. You will implement new products into internal software tools, ensuring configurators stay accurate and aligned with product standards.

The role combines technical engineering knowledge with IT systems, data and digital tools, and involves supporting internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Approximately 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in application management or maintenance.
• Interest in IT systems, software and digital tools.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Analytical and solution-oriented approach.
• Structured, accurate and independent working style.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English.
• Nice to have: SQL Server, C#, product configurators or related software, and RD/Engineering collaboration.

About the role

As an Application Engineer, you will work at the intersection of engineering, product development and digitalisation.

You will be responsible for implementing new products and technical developments into internal software tools, ensuring that configurators and applications remain accurate, efficient and aligned with the latest product standards.

Your responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise existing product configurators

About you

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Approximately 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
• Previous experience in application management, application maintenance or a similar technical systems environment
• Strong interest in IT systems, software and digital tools
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Analytical and solution-oriented approach
• Structured, accurate and independent working style
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Fluent English

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of SQL Server
• Knowledge of C#
• Experience with product configurators, engineering software or product data
