Job summary

EngiFlex BV is seeking an experienced Application Architect to reinforce delivery teams working on critical digital services in the public sector. You will contribute to development, integration and evolution of secure, interoperable and scalable solutions in a multi-system environment.

The role supports modernization of platforms, rollout of new functionalities, and continuous improvement of software engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Java software development.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in application architecture.
• Experience in complex multi-system environments and large-scale digital transformation projects.
• Experience in public sector environment is an asset.
• Proven experience in Agile delivery environments and familiarity with traditional development approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business applications, application components, APIs and web services.
• Contribute to application and technical architecture, including integration architecture, API Gateway design and technical building blocks, in collaboration with technical leads and solution architects.
• Participate in technical workshops, Agile/Scrum ceremonies and stakeholder meetings.
• Support testing activities, technical documentation, deployments, quality assurance, monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to align business and technical requirements.
• Apply security, performance, interoperability and quality standards in the delivered solutions.
• Carry out code reviews.

Tasks and responsibilities

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Java software development.
