Nexeo in Belgium is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to support a major transformation program, focusing on modernization, refactoring and development of strategic applications within an Agile environment.

You will gather requirements, model business processes, translate needs into functional specifications, collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, developers and architects to deliver scalable solutions and maintain documentation throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst.
• Experience in large-scale transformation programs and Agile delivery environments.

Nexeo is looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to support one of its clients in the context of a major business transformation program. The mission focuses on the modernization, refactoring, and development of strategic business applications within a large-scale Agile environment.

Mission Context

As part of a major transformation initiative, our client is reinforcing its analysis team to support the evolution of its application landscape. You will join a department of approximately 90 professionals responsible for delivering new business applications, modernizing existing solutions, and supporting strategic transformation projects.

As a Senior Functional Analyst, you will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to delivery and testing, while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and architects in an Agile environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, project teams, managers, and external partners
• Analyze, document, and validate business processes, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, solution designs, and application models
• Collaborate with technical teams to validate functional designs and support the translation into technical specifications
• Support the end-to-end delivery of new functionalities and business applications
• Produce and maintain project documentation throughout all project phases
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, and Project Managers to refine and validate proposed solutions
• Support project governance activities by providing status updates, facilitating decision-making, identifying risks, and escalating issues when required
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Documentation and Deliverables

Language Requirements

• French: Native or professional proficiency

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analysis, or a related field

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst
• Proven experience in large-scale transformation programs and Agile delivery environments
• Experience working on complex business applications and enterprise systems
• Experience interacting directly with business stakeholders and translating business requirements into functional solutions

Technical Skills

• Mandatory:
  • Strong expertise in Functional Analysis and Business Analysis
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • UML modelling and functional design experience
  • BPMN process modelling
  • Experience writing user stories and functional specifications
  • Test analysis, test design, and validation activities
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and collaborate effectively with development teams
  • Familiarity with APIs, data mappings, business models, batches, integrations, and services
• Nice to Have:
  • Knowledge of Confluence and Jira
  • Experience with customer journey analysis
  • Familiarity with software development environments using technologies such as Java, J2EE, Oracle, Hibernate, Selenium, Maven, and Git
  • Knowledge of the second national language
