Abakus IT-Solutions is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join a dynamic Agile team and contribute to scalable digital solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing across the software lifecycle to ensure high quality deliveries.

The role requires strong Java-based automation with Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and Gherkin, plus solid experience in CI/CD and ISTQB practices. English fluency is essential; French or Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 6 years of test automation experience.
• Strong expertise in: Java, Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Gherkin, Maven, Git, Jenkins.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines; ISTQB knowledge.
• Excellent English; French or Dutch a plus.

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join a dynamic Agile team and contribute to the development of innovative digital solutions at scale. You will play a key role in ensuring application quality by designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

You will work closely with developers, analysts, testers, and other stakeholders to ensure reliable, high-performing, and high-quality software deliveries while applying industry best practices.

Your Responsibilities

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will:

• Design and maintain automated testing strategies to ensure application quality.
• Develop automation scripts using Java with Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
• Create test plans, test cases, and test data for functional and non-functional testing.
• Execute automated test campaigns, analyze results, and document defects with clear details.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Debug automation scripts and troubleshoot issues across different environments.
• Design robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks.
• Maintain documentation related to testing processes, frameworks, and results.
• Ensure compliance with software testing standards and ISTQB best practices.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement within the Agile team.

Required Profile

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in test automation.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s degree, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong expertise in:

  • Gherkin (BDD)
  • Maven
  • Git
  • Jenkins
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Good knowledge of software testing standards (ISTQB).
• Practical experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience with API automation (Perfecto or similar tools) is a plus.
• Excellent command of English. Knowledge of French or Dutch is an advantage.
• Language Requirements: English mandatory (French or Dutch is a plus)
