Job summary

DataCamp is seeking a talented engineer to build our AI tutoring system, enabling real-time adaptive learning experiences for users. You will design prompts, agentic workflows, and integration with content pipelines, collaborating with educators and product teams to translate pedagogical goals into technical solutions.

You will run rigorous experiments, craft custom metrics, and ensure safety and observability in production systems, contributing to a learning-driven culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ years building complex LLM-based systems.
• Ability to design meaningful evaluation methods and metrics.
• Strong Python and production infra experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the core AI tutoring system including prompt architectures and real-time adaptive behaviors.
• Run rigorous experiments and develop custom metrics to measure learning effectiveness.
• Design and implement scalable software integrating AI with platform systems and user experience.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with educators, content creators, and product teams.
• Prototype and productionize novel model interactions leveraging emerging research.
• Ensure quality, safety, and observability through monitoring and testing.
• Share knowledge and elevate teammates to drive continuous learning.
