BDO Belgium is looking for a Junior AI, Data or Automation Consultant to help clients transform how they work through data, AI and automation. You’ll join multidisciplinary teams delivering modern data platforms, intelligent automation and AI solutions across diverse industries.

You will grow with mentorship, certifications via BDO Academy and opportunities to explore Generative AI, Copilot and related technologies in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or in progress) in a relevant field such as Engineering, Data Science, AI, CS or MIS.
• Strong analytical and abstract thinking, good communication, team player, and resilient under pressure.
• Near-native Dutch and English; French is a plus.

What will you be doing?

As a Junior AI, Data or Automation Consultant, you help organisations transform the way they work, make decisions and create value through data, automation and artificial intelligence.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams on a diverse range of client engagements, combining business understanding with modern technology to solve real‑world challenges.

Depending on your interests and growth path, you may contribute to:

Data & Analytics

• Designing and implementing modern data platforms

• Building data pipelines and data products

• Developing management reporting and analytics solutions

• Supporting organisations in becoming truly data‑driven

Artificial Intelligence

• Supporting the design and implementation of AI solutions

• Building Generative AI, Copilot and Agentic AI use cases

• Helping clients adopt AI responsibly and at scale

• Working on AI governance, risk and compliance initiatives

Intelligent Automation

• Analysing and optimizing business processes

• Designing automation opportunities and business cases

• Building workflow and orchestration solutions

• Supporting digital transformation programs through automation

What do you bring to the table?

• You are preferably in possession of (or will obtain) a Master’s degree (for example, in Engineering, Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Secure Software or Management Information Systems).
• You have strong analytical and abstract thinking skills, are communicative, flexible and results-oriented and aware of the added value of working as a team in order to achieve maximum results. You can work independently and are sufficiently stress-resistant to find solutions even in crisis situations. You are eager to help build a growing, innovative department.
• Knowledge of the above technological areas is an asset, but not essential. You do need to have the necessary technological affinity and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• You are (near) native in Dutch andEnglish. French is a plus.
