Job summary

HeadMind Partners is seeking an AI Engineer consultant to design, build, and run a secure, scalable AI platform supporting large language models, classic ML workloads, and autonomous agents. You’ll blend platform engineering with user enablement to help product and analytics teams adopt the platform safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include building core services, orchestrating agent workflows, and deploying end-to-end RAG pipelines while ensuring security and governance across enterprise

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering.
• 5+ years of cloud-native platform development (Python, CI/CD, IaC).
• Hands-on experience with LLMs/agentic systems and vector/RAG architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Anthropic, Google and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Strong security knowledge (IAM, secret management, audit trails).
• Ability to write clean, well-tested code and review peers.
• Excellent English communication; Dutch or French.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core platform services (gateway, vector stores, integrations).
• Create and manage end-to-end agent workflows and orchestration pipelines.
• Build reusable embeddings and RAG pipelines.
• Connect the AI platform to the enterprise data layer (Snowflake, AWS).
• Implement security controls: authentication, authorisation, secrets, network policies, and audit logging.
• Define governance processes for agents, tools, and third-party components, ensuring compliance with internal policies and EU AI regulations.
• Set up observability (metrics, traces, alerts) and monitor cost, reliability, and performance of inference workloads.
• Produce standards, blueprints, and documentation; coach internal teams on platform usage.
• Track emerging AI technologies and prototype promising solutions.
