Job summary

Showpad seeks a Backend Engineer to join AI-focused teams, building intelligent features and serverless, event-driven systems that integrate with third-party services. You will own well-scoped features, contribute to product discussions, and improve reliability across a multi-service ecosystem.

Expect collaboration with senior engineers, code reviews, and mentoring while shipping to 100,000+ users globally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years developing production-ready backend systems.
• Solid proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Interest in or early experience with AI/LLM integration and prompt engineering.
• Working knowledge of event-driven systems (message queues, asynchronous workflows).
• Experience in a cloud environment; AWS experience is a plus, particularly Lambda, DynamoDB, Bedrock, OpenSearch, and API Gateway.
• Strong testing practices including unit and integration tests; TDD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered features that use large language models to automate and enhance user workflows.
• Contribute to improving development processes and environments.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party platforms and APIs.
• Help implement and maintain growing ecosystem of microservices.
