Zusammenfassung

Imec in Belgium offers a Master internship in agrivoltaic system optimization at Genk. The project studies how tilt angle, row spacing and ground coverage influence PV energy yield while keeping crop light thresholds.

You will build a parametric Python model using pvlib and bifacial_radiance, process Belgian meteorological data, and validate results against pilot installations. Supervising scientists Shu-Ngwa Asaa and Arnaud Morlier guide the work with transferable design guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• Master student in Energy or related field.
• Strong interest in PV systems and agrivoltaics.
• Experience with Python is a plus.

• Conduct systematic literature review on AV simulation methods.
• Develop parametric Python model to compute PV yield and PAR distribution.
• Validate model with Belgian data and pilot installations.
