Contexte is seeking an adaptation editor to translate and adapt specific editorial content from English to French.

We cover policies spanning energy, transport, agri-food, environment, health, tech and media. We also lift the hood on how governments exercise political power and how lobbyists develop their influence. Our products are designed to provide timely, actionable information, so professionals can stay ahead of developments and make informed decisions for their organisations.
Contexte’s international expansion began in May 2025 with Energy, our first EU-focused English-language vertical, followed by Power in March 2026. A new vertical in English is launching in the coming months. To produce parallel news content in English and French, we rely on adaptation editors between both languages.
To support this move, we are looking for an Adaptation Editor to adapt our French-language coverage into English. You will be part of our Brussels newsroom.
The role requires exceptional editorial skills, fluency in both languages, and the ability to adapt—not just translate—journalistic content to resonate with the target audience.
Adapt content: Edit and adapt in depth, detailed, journalistic content independently to ensure it resonates with our target audience. You must be available to work from approximately 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. (CET), aligning with our publishing needs.
