Job summary

OMODA & JAECOO Belux is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage daily financial operations and prep financial statements. The role requires hands-on SAP experience and thorough knowledge of Belgian GAAP, with fluency in English and Dutch/French for cross-border collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting or Finance and brings at least 3 years of proven corporate accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a corporate accounting role or as an Accounting Specialist.
• Hands-on, practical experience working with SAP is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of Belgian accounting rules and regulations (Belgian GAAP).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Working proficiency in English, with strong communication skills in Dutch and French.

Job description

• Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and complex financial transactions.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Balance Sheet Control: Perform accurate balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany ledger adjustments.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices strictly align with Belgian GAAP and local regulatory standards.
• Audit & Internal Control: Serve as a key contact for external auditors and continuously improve internal accounting processes.

Qualifications
