Axis Group is seeking an experienced Accountant Manager to independently oversee a diverse client portfolio and a small team. You will manage bookkeeping, approve financial statements, and nurture long-term client relationships while driving growth in the Accountancy team.

Qualifications

• Has at least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably at an accounting firm.
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Holds an ITAA certificate, which is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch with good English; knowledge of French is an added advantage.

• Lead, coach, and support a team of approximately 3 to 4 employees.
• Serve as the point of contact for junior and senior accountants.

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
• Contribute to business development initiatives.
• Ensure the quality of services and adherence to deadlines.

We're looking for a self-starter who can independently manage various client portfolios and lead a team of 3-4 employees. You'll be responsible for overseeing bookkeeping, approving financial statements, and maintaining long-term client relationships. • Oversee the complete accounting for various client files;
• Review and approve VAT returns, periodic closings, and annual financial statements;
• Assume final responsibility for specific accounting files;
• Lead, coach, and support a team of approximately 3 to 4 employees;
• Serve as the point of contact for both junior and senior accountants;
• Work closely with the tax, VAT, and legal teams;
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients;
• Contribute to specific business development initiatives;
• Ensure the quality of services provided and adherence to deadlines;
• Actively contribute to the growth and development of the Accountancy team.

Requirements

• Has at least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably at an accounting firm;
• Has a thorough knowledge of accounting from A to Z and is capable of managing complex cases;
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting;
• Holds an ITAA certificate, which is a plus;
• Experience in team management is preferred, but a Senior Accountant seeking to advance to a managerial role will also be considered;
• Is fluent in Dutch and has a good command of English; knowledge of French is an added advantage;
• Is known for his or her leadership qualities, team spirit, and sense of responsibility;
• Thrives in dynamic work environments and enjoys interacting with clients.
