g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freelance Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Belgium. You will manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate reporting and support the wider finance function. This role emphasizes accuracy and compliance with local standards.

Key duties include month-end closing, VAT returns, statutory accounts, budgeting and cash flow reporting, and audits. Fluency in English is required; Dutch/French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Good understanding of Belgian GAAP; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French are a plus.
