Austin Bright in Brussels is seeking a senior accounting professional to act as the financial reference for the Belgian office, overseeing closings, statutory filings and analytical reporting.

With 7+ years in general accounting, you will partner with management and stakeholders, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance while supporting international operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in general accounting.
• Fluent English; French or Dutch required for local interactions.
• Ability to lead monthly and annual closings and interact with management and stakeholders.

• Leading monthly and annual closings: general ledger, provisions, fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparing and filing local statutory and regulatory obligations.
• Analysing financial performance, monitoring variances and providing recommendations to management.
• Acting as a business partner for operational teams and senior management: budgets, forecasts and ad hoc analyses.
• Trusted point of contact for partners, external stakeholders and auditors.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and reporting tools.

Your Responsibilities

The Ideal Profile

Education :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance.

Experience

Minimum 7 years of experience in general accounting. You take the lead on closings without needing guidance, and you are not afraid to go and get the information you need from the right people: management, partners, stakeholders.

Languages ;

Fluent English is essential. French or Dutch is required for local interactions.
