Job summary

DCC Industry Group is seeking a dedicated residential youth worker supervisor to support day-to-day program operations and assist youth workers in developing best practices. You will work closely with the Case Manager to implement program structure and provide on-floor support to young people, with one admin day per week.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in residential youth work, relevant qualifications, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in residential youth work
• Strong knowledge of Child Protection and Out of Home Care
• Current Blue Card and LCS check or willing to obtain
• Current Open/P2 Australian Driver's License
• Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain
• Proven experience in mentoring and developing staff

Responsibilities

• Staff and program inductions for all new employees in residential programs
• Rostering of staff, ensuring over and under-utilisation is kept to a minimum
• Assist with recruitment and conduct interviews
• Develop weekly house planner and activity structures
• Communicate effectively with youth workers and Case Manager
• Deliver care and guidance to young people in a trauma-informed manner
• Upskill client and stakeholder communications to Case Manager
• Complete grocery list and weekly shopping for the program
• Support staff through reflective supervision, guidance, and coaching
• Compile staff feedback and performance issues to Case Manager and provide Weekly Handover
• Support multiple programs in the absence of other House Managers
• Any other duties as required (beds/nights)
