Job summary

Junction Support Services in Victoria is seeking a Residential Care Youth Worker to join our trauma-informed, supportive team. You will provide day-to-day care, help young people build life skills, develop routines, and work toward their goals in a safe home environment.

Your duties include running the household, cooking meals, stocking supplies, transporting young people to appointments, administering and documenting medication, and collaborating with case managers, therapists and families.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or equivalent).
• Experience with young people or strong motivation to learn.
• Residential Out-of-Home Care Youth Work experience is highly desirable.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence and Working with Children Check.
• First Aid Certificate and willingness to undergo Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Run the household: cook meals, clean, stock supplies, manage daily living.
• Transport young people to appointments and activities.
• Administer and document medication; therapeutic behaviour management.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (case managers, therapists, teachers, families).
• Meet Department requirements and keep accurate case notes and reports.
