Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria is seeking a clinical manager to lead a multidisciplinary team in rehabilitation for young people in custody and community settings. This is a full-time VPS Grade 6.1 position with a substantial salary and relocation support.

You will oversee clinical operations, support staff development, and collaborate with partners to deliver evidence-based programs, aiming to reduce reoffending while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of youth.

Qualifications

• Registered professional in psychology, social work, mental health nursing or occupational therapy.
• Full driver’s licence.
• Experience leading high‑performing teams in complex service environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering rehabilitation services for youth in custody and the community.
• Contribute to strategic oversight of clinical operations, ensuring quality service delivery and efficient resources.
• Manage and develop staff through supervision, training and professional development.
• Collaborate with partners and other justice professionals to coordinate rehabilitation and behaviour management programs.
• Advise senior leaders on complex clinical issues, program design and service improvements.
