Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria invites applications for a Clinical Manager, Rehabilitation and Outcomes in Malmsbury. You will lead a specialist clinical team delivering rehabilitation for youth in custody and in the community, shaping a culture of healing and accountability.

You will provide strategic oversight, supervise staff, develop programs and collaborate across disciplines, with a relocation allowance of up to $10K for eligible candidates willing to relocate

Clinical Manager, Rehabilitation and Outcomes

• Lead a specialist clinical team improving rehabilitation outcomes for young people in custody and community.
• Join the Statewide Rehabilitation Services team, helping young people make profound shifts in their mindset and self-belief.
• Build strong relationships that support safer, more inclusive communities.
• Use your leadership to shape a culture of healing, accountability and growth.
• Ongoing, full-time role earning $142,790 to $ 166,938 per year (VPS Grade 6.1) plus super.

What you will do

As a clinical manager, you will lead a team that helps young people in custody and community address the causes of their offending and empower them to make positive changes.

You will:

• Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering rehabilitation services that addresses complex behaviours and support reintegration.
• Contribute to strategic oversight of clinical operations, ensuring quality service delivery and efficient resource use.
• Manage and develop staff through supervision, training and professional development.
• Work collaboratively with partners and other justice professionals to coordinate rehabilitation and behaviour management programs.
• Advise senior leaders on complex clinical issues, program design and service improvements.

We are currently recruiting this opportunity at our Malmsbury precinct, offering a great work/life balance in the countryside of central Victoria. We also offer up to $10K relocation allowance for eligible candidates who are thinking of moving to within an hour's drive of the facility.

About you

You will be registered as a psychologist, social worker, mental health nurse or occupational therapist. You will also hold a full driver's licence.

You should also have:

• Experience leading high-performing teams within complex service environments.
• Strong clinical expertise in rehabilitation and behavioural intervention, ideally in a custodial or forensic context.
• The ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships across disciplines and cultures.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenging clinical situations.
• A passion for developing others and fostering a learning culture that supports evidence-based practice.

A current employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) card is required and will need to be provided prior to commencement of employment by the applicant. Currency will need to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.
