Job summary

Cumberland City Council is recruiting a Youth Program Officer to develop and deliver youth programs and partnerships across the LGA. The role focuses on child protection, health and wellbeing, and community development for children and young people.

Youth programs include School Holiday Programs, Youth Week, Bush School, Story Times and Child Protection Week events. Immediate start preferred; travel across sites required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Sport or Recreation, Humanities or equivalent.
• Demonstrated understanding of child protection and risk management.
• Experience in planning and evaluating youth programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, supervise and evaluate youth school holiday programs for ages 12-18.
• Oversee programs targeting youth 12-25 across Cumberland.
• Ensure accessibility of community facilities for young people.
• Support evaluation of Cumberland City Youth Strategy.
