Job summary

Mid Coast Connect is seeking a Pathways Support Officer to empower youth aged 15-21 in education, training and employment. You will provide practical support, tutorial help, and learning assistance through hub activities and group programs.

You will help with job applications, maintain records in the CRM, and travel within the service region using the pool vehicle. A full driver’s licence and Working with Children checks are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in youth, education, training, and/or employment programs.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with young people through mentoring.
• Excellent customer service skills with stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with competing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including admin tasks.
• Must hold a current full driver’s licence, and clear checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resumes, cover letters and job applications.
• Provide tutorial and learning support.
• Help participants complete coursework and assessment tasks.
• Support job searches and online applications.
• Assist with TFNs, USIs, Medicare, myGov and banking services.
• Deliver employability and work readiness workshops.
• Support flexible learning and career hubs.
• Record participant progress using the CRM system.
• Collaborate with Youth Pathways Coordinators and partners.
