Job summary

IFYS invites applications for four Youth Workers to join the Youth Engagement & Linkage Service, covering Gympie and Sunshine Coast Hinterland. You will engage with at-risk youth, provide referrals, brief interventions, and case management for mental health, homelessness, and family breakdown.

The role includes outreach activities to reduce vulnerability, prevent youth crime, and improve access to services with a focus on strengths-based practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in case management with at-risk youth.
• Excellent communication and rapport-building with young people.
• Ability to work with partners and wraparound services.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Engage at-risk young people with information, support and referrals.
• Develop and implement case management plans with clients.
• Assess risks and coordinate with support services.
• Maintain accurate case notes and records.
• Deliver group programs and activities.
• Contribute to service improvements.
