Job summary

ICYS Ipswich Community Youth Service Inc is creating an Assertive Outreach Program to support young people aged 12 to under 18 who are under Child Safety intervention. We are hiring Case Managers for a new regional service in Ipswich/West Moreton.

These are full‑time roles requiring hands-on, relationship-based outreach. You will coordinate supports, work with Child Safety and families, and respond to high-risk situations with trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated case management experience with young people experiencing complex needs.
• Experience in child protection, youth justice, out-of-home care, homelessness or related sectors.
• Sound judgement, resilience and confidence responding to complex and high-risk situations.
• Strong engagement, assessment, risk management and relationship-building skills.
• A trauma-informed, culturally responsive and collaborative approach.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, human services, youth work or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide relationship-based outreach support to young people to improve safety, stability and wellbeing.
• Coordinate practical supports and work with Child Safety, families and other services.
• Meet young people where they are, in complex environments, to find effective solutions.
