Job summary

Uniting in Sydney seeks an Accommodation Team Leader to mentor Youth Development Coaches, helping young people maintain tenancy and engage in education and programs. You will collaborate with housing providers and community services to address tenancy issues, arrears, and education, while building strong local partnerships.

You will lead a small team, coordinate rostering and documentation, and apply trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches with a focus on Advantaged Thinking.

Qualifications

• Two years of leadership and staff supervision.
• Strong networking with housing providers and community services.
• Experience with trauma-informed practices.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Social Sciences or related field.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence, WWCC, and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Lead & mentor a team of Youth Development Coaches delivering tenancy support.
• Support young people to sustain tenancy and develop independent living skills.
• Liaise with St George Community Housing on tenancy matters and arrears.
• Respond to crises and participate in on-call roster every 6 weeks.
• Engage with housing providers, real estate, and community services.
• Oversee documentation, audits, and rostering for YDCs.
