Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy; respond to student learning needs.
• Plan for high impact teaching strategies and evaluate their impact on learning growth.
• Monitor and assess student learning; use data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills; collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and community.
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with Department values and engage in ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals.
• Contribute to development and evaluation of curriculum within the school.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related duties as directed by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings; assist with camps and excursions.
• Engage in non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
