Job summary

Bayside Council is seeking a Recreational Duty Supervisor to lead Arncliffe Youth Centre operations on a part-time, rotating roster basis. You will oversee daily activities, supervise staff and assist in delivering safe, engaging programs for the community.

The role emphasizes frontline leadership, customer service, and collaborative teamwork to ensure high standards of service and a welcoming environment for all patrons.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising and operating sports and recreation centres.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the facility and ensure activities are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Supervise Recreational Attendants to promote teamwork and high performance.
• Lead staff training, mentoring and onboarding to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and a positive patron experience.
• Escalate and resolve customer enquiries, complaints and incidents promptly.
• Implement opening, closing and security procedures for safe day-to-day operation.
• Monitor safety and compliance with venue rules and respond to hazards.
• Work across shifts from 5:00am to 11:00pm, including weekends and nights.
