The Bayside Council is seeking a Recreational Duty Supervisor for Arncliffe Youth Centre in Sydney. The role provides frontline leadership, coordinates daily activities, bookings, programs and events while ensuring safety and high-quality customer experiences.

You will supervise Recreational Attendants, support staff training, respond to enquiries, and implement procedures for opening, closing and security. Flexible 5:00am–11:00pm shifts including weekends and nights apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising and operating sports and recreation centres.
• Experience leading staff in a customer service environment.
• Strong customer service, communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively plan and deliver community programs.
• Proficiency with recreation software and technology.
• Ability to undertake manual handling duties and physical tasks.
• Knowledge of indoor sports such as basketball, netball, volleyball or similar.
• Current First Aid certificate is relevant to the role.
• Valid Working with Children Check (NSW).
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring activities, bookings, programs and events are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Supervise and support Recreational Attendants in the delivery of day-to-day facility operations.
• Lead and support staff training, mentoring, and onboarding to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and promote a positive experience for all patrons.
• Act as the primary escalation point for customer enquiries, complaints, incidents and operational issues.
• Implement opening, closing and security procedures to ensure safe, secure operation.
• Monitor and supervise the facility and respond to hazards or incidents to keep staff and patrons safe.
• Flexibility to work across hours from 5:00am to 11:00pm, including nights and weekends.
