Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety (Youth Justice) seeks a Practice Lead at Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precinct to oversee a multi-disciplinary team delivering evidence-based psychosocial interventions for young people in custody. You will develop individualised strategies, guide staff supervision, and coordinate care with custody and community partners to support rehabilitation and safer outcomes.

Qualifications

Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team delivering interventions and services to complex client groups.
Specialist expertise in working with young people presenting multiple and complex needs (offending, trauma, substance use, mental health).
Competence in delivering practice supervision and professional development.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of Behaviour Support Specialists.
Oversee delivery of evidence-based psychosocial programs for rehabilitation in custody.
Develop individualised strategies and plans responsive to needs of young people.
Ensure supervision and professional development to build staff skills and confidence.
Coordinate care with custody and community partners and stakeholders.
