Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety, Youth Justice, Cherry Creek Precinct, seeks a Practice Lead to oversee a team of Behaviour Support Specialists delivering psychosocial programs for youth in custody and reintegration. You will develop individualised strategies, supervise staff, and collaborate with custody and community partners to reduce behaviours of concern.

With extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams and expertise in complex youth needs, you will drive

Qualifications

Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team delivering interventions and services to complex client groups.
Specialist expertise in working with young people with multiple and complex needs, including trauma, substance use and mental health issues.
Competence in delivering practice supervision.
Knowledge of care coordination between custody and community settings.

Responsibilities

Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver interventions and services to young people in custody.
Oversee psychosocial program delivery and development of individualised strategies and plans.
Provide high quality supervision and professional development for staff.
Convene meetings to align custody and community responses to complex behaviours.
Provide strategic advice on service delivery issues and complex cases.
Contribute to operating manuals, training, and team development.
