Department of Justice and Community Safety (Youth Justice) seeks a Practice Lead at the Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precinct. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team delivering psychosocial assessments, interventions and structured programs to support rehabilitation and safe reintegration of young people in custody and in the community.

• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team delivering interventions to complex client groups.
• Specialist expertise with young people presenting multiple and complex needs, including trauma and mental health issues.
• Competence in delivering practice supervision.

Responsabilités

• Oversee delivery of evidence-based psychosocial programs to support rehabilitation in custody.
• Provide leadership to a team of Behaviour Support Specialists at Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precinct.
• Develop individualised intervention strategies and care plans responsive to each young person’s needs.
• Ensure high-quality supervision and access to professional development for staff.
• Lead capacity building of unit staff to manage behaviours with positive strategies.
• Ensure functional behavioural assessments include proactive, evidence-based approaches.
