Job summary

John Pearson Consulting Group in Gladstone is seeking a Bail Response Coordinator to support young people involved with the youth justice system, helping them understand bail requirements and connecting them with family, cultural and community supports.

You will deliver culturally safe, trauma-informed assistance across case planning, court attendance, outreach and safeguarding responses, contributing to program development and risk management within the Right Turn program.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth work, case management, bail support, family support or community services.
• Strong engagement, communication and de-escalation skills.
• A culturally safe, trauma-informed and strengths-based approach.
• Sound judgement when responding to complex or urgent situations.

Responsibilities

• Support young people to understand and meet their bail requirements.
• Identify barriers, assess risk and develop practical Bail Stabilisation and case plans.
• Provide court, family and community-based outreach support.
• Coordinate referrals and practical assistance with families, Youth Justice and community services.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and changing risk.
• Participate in the rotating after-hours and on-call roster.
