Job summary

Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) headspace Sale is seeking a Youth Access Worker to support young people and their families, building rapport and conducting needs and risk assessments to promote mental health and wellbeing. Based in Bairnsdale on a 0.8 EFT basis, the role runs four days a week with a pro‑rata salary of $101,948 to $109,287 per annum, plus salary packaging benefits and super.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in health, behavioural/social sciences or community services.
• Experience in youth or mental health services, including intake, screening, risk assessment and care planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage diverse young people and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and own vehicle; willingness to obtain police and Working with Children Checks.

Responsibilities

• Be a key contact for young people and families accessing headspace services.
• Conduct needs and risk assessments and support wellbeing.
• Coordinate care, develop risk mitigation plans and referrals to services.
• Collaborate with internal and external providers to ensure timely support.
