Job summary

Baldivis Secondary College is establishing a pool of highly experienced Teacher - Year Coordinators to join our Student Support team and promote student wellbeing. The Year Coordinator collaborates with the Deputy Principal and Heads of Student Services to review behaviour processes and lead MTSS implementation across the school.

You will work restoratively to resolve conflicts, support attendance, and foster belonging.

Qualifications

• hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term.
• apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
• consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of a streamlined MTSS framework applied consistently across the school.
• Promote a sense of belonging and support positive student development (physical, social, intellectual, emotional).
• Collaborate with Deputy Principal and Heads of Student Services to review behaviour processes.
• Foster restorative approaches and participative decision-making to improve attendance and community relations.
