Job summary

St Francis Xavier College, a large 7-12 Catholic secondary school in Belconnen, Canberra, is seeking a Year Coordinator to lead a year group with a focus on pastoral care and student wellbeing. The role is part of the College Leadership team and reports to the Assistant Principal and Principal.

This temporary appointment replaces an employee on leave and begins 25 January 2027. The position is full-time with a 12-month contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Teaching qualifications are required.
• Registration with ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) and WWVP clearance.
• Accreditation with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert leadership of a year group and drive pastoral care and student wellbeing.
• Contribute as a member of the College Leadership team, reporting to the Assistant Principal and Principal.
