Job summary

Baldivis Secondary College, part of the Department of Education, Western Australia, seeks experienced Teacher - Year Coordinators to join our Student Support team for ongoing pool development. You will work with allied staff to foster wellbeing and coordinate year-level programs.

In collaboration with school leadership, you will help implement streamlined MTSS processes, promote belonging, restore restorative practices, and support attendance and community relations across the school.

Qualifications

• Hold an eligible teaching qualification and registration.
• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have valid work rights for the term of the appointment.
• Complete WA Working with Children Check before you start.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Year level activities and support MTSS framework implementation.
• Promote student wellbeing and a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with Deputy Principal and Heads of Student Services to enhance attendance and student engagement.

Job description

We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Year Coordinator for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Baldivis SC is currently seeking to establish a pool of highly experienced, dynamic, innovative, and proactive Teacher - Year Coordinators to join our whole school Student Support team.

The Year Coordinator works collaboratively with the onsite allied support team and wider school staff and community to promote the wellbeing of each student. They support the school in maintaining a positive learning environment where each students’ physical, social, intellectual, and emotional development is fostered, and our students thrive.

In collaboration with the Deputy Principal and Heads of Student Services, Year Coordinators review behaviour support processes and lead the implementation of a streamlined MTSS framework that is applied effectively and consistently by the whole school. You will work proactively and promote a sense of belonging for all students, work restoratively to resolve conflict, and participative decision-making resulting in improved community relationships and whole school regular attendance.
