Job summary

Desian Education are recruiting a Year 5 Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Aintree, starting January 2027. This full-time, long-term position offers stability and the chance to lead Year 5 in Upper Key Stage 2.

You will plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum, manage behaviour, build strong relationships with pupils and parents, and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Qualifications

• QT S (QTS) status confirmed and valid DBS check.
• Experience teaching Year 5 / Upper KS2 in a primary setting.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess lessons to the national curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for a Year 5 class
• Planning, delivering and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Monitoring pupil progress and implementing appropriate interventions where required
• Preparing pupils for the increasing academic expectations of Upper Key Stage 2
• Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders
