Job summary

Desian Education is recruiting a dedicated Year 1 teacher for a primary school in Aintree. This full-time, long-term role starts January 2027 and focuses on guiding pupils from EYFS into KS1 with engaging, standards-aligned lessons.

The ideal candidate holds QTS and has Year 1 or KS1 experience, delivering the Year 1 curriculum and fostering a nurturing, collaborative classroom culture. DBS Update service preferred or obtainable.

About the Role

Desian Education are delighted to be recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Aintree.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate KS1 specialist looking to secure a full-time, long-term teaching position from January 2027. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils through the important transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1 while delivering engaging and effective lessons in a nurturing classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for a Year 1 class

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching in Year 1 or across Key Stage 1

• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one)
