Job summary

Desian Education are recruiting a Reception Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Aintree, starting January 2027. You will lead a Reception class, delivering engaging EYFS activities and creating a nurturing learning environment.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS, have EYFS experience, and demonstrate a passion for early years education. This role offers long-term stability, a supportive leadership team, and a well-resourced setting in a positive school culture.

Qualifications

• QTS required and DBS checks completed.
• Experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), preferably Reception.
• Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Reliable, committed and passionate about early years education.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for a Reception class.
• Plan, deliver and assess EYFS learning.
• Create a safe, engaging and inclusive environment.
• Support children's academic, social and emotional development.
• Monitor progress with observations and assessments.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and leaders.
• Engage with parents and carers to build strong relationships.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.
