Job summary

Desian Education is recruiting a dedicated Year 1 teacher for a primary school in Aintree. This full-time, long-term role starts January 2027 and focuses on guiding pupils from EYFS into KS1 with engaging, standards-aligned lessons.

The ideal candidate holds QTS and has Year 1 or KS1 experience, delivering the Year 1 curriculum and fostering a nurturing, collaborative classroom culture. DBS Update service preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS and KS1 classroom experience.
• Experience delivering Year 1 curriculum with assessment.
• Ability to support pupils' transition from EYFS to KS1.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for a Year 1 class.
• Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create an inclusive, engaging learning environment and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders.
