Job summary

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a Yardperson to take ownership of the yard at our Perth region. You will manage movements of plant machinery and equipment and ensure the yard operates smoothly in a busy branch environment.

The role requires a current forklift licence, prior yard/earthmoving experience, and a strong safety mindset. You will contribute to a collaborative team and support branch activities daily.

Qualifications

• A current Forklift Licence is essential.
• Demonstrated work experience in a similar yard/earthmoving environment is preferred.
• A safety focus to protect yourself and colleagues at all times.
• Able to work effectively in a team
• Self-motivated with a strong service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Own the activities of the yard and coordinate movement of plant machinery and equipment.
• Receive all new equipment and attachments into the yard.
• Maintain a clean, tidy yard and branch grounds.
• Assist with other branch-related duties as required.

The Opportunity

Due to growth in our booming Perth region, our Forrestdale branch has an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us in the position of Yardperson. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the yard and work within a varied work environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Owning the activities of the yard and facilitating the movements of Plant Machinery and Equipment
• Receive all new equipment and attachments into the yard area
• Ensure that the general appearance of the whole yard and branch grounds are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy state
• Assisting in other branch-related duties as required

To Be Successful, You Will Need

• A current Forklift Licence
• Demonstrated work experience in a similar position - construction and earthmoving industry exposure would be highly regarded
• A safety focus - ensure the safety of yourself and your peers
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Self-motivation with a focus on service
