Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Yardperson at our Forrestdale branch to own yard operations and coordinate movements of plant equipment. The role requires a current forklift licence, teamwork, safety focus and self-motivation.

The Opportunity

Due to growth in our booming Perth region, our Forrestdale branch has an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us in the position of Yardperson. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the yard and work within a varied work environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning the activities of the yard and facilitating the movements of Plant Machinery and Equipment
• Receive all new equipment and attachments into the yard area
• Ensure that the general appearance of the whole yard and branch grounds are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy state
• Assisting in other branch-related duties as required

To be successful, you will need:

• A current Forklift Licence
• Demonstrated work experience in a similar position - construction and earthmoving industry exposure would be highly regarded
• A safety focus - ensure the safety of yourself and your peers
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Self-motivation with a focus on service
