Job summary

Highland Sand & Gravel in Moss Vale, NSW, is seeking a yard/retail loader operator to safely manage front end loaders and forklifts, assist customers, and prepare landscape materials for delivery orders. The role requires strong safety focus and outdoor endurance on a busy site.

You will keep the yard clean and organised, perform daily equipment checks, and support deliveries and receiving of bulk or packaged materials while maintaining clear communication with drivers and the sales team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders (preferred).
• Forklift Licence (preferred).
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate front end loaders and forklifts to load and unload products.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection and order fulfilment.
• Accurately pick, weigh and prepare landscape materials for retail and trade customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard, including stockpiling, raking, and sweeping.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues.
• Ensure correct stock rotation and assist with stock control.
• Follow WHS policies and safe work procedures at all times.
• Assist with deliveries and receiving of bulk and packaged materials.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, sales staff, and customers to ensure smooth yard operations.
