Job summary

KCH Pavers & Garden Supplies in Bendigo is hiring an All-Rounder to join our small, friendly team. The role blends retail customer service, product advice, MR truck deliveries, and machinery operation with hands-on work every day.

You'll assist customers, calculate quantities, load and deliver orders, and operate machines such as a bobcat and front-end loader. Weekend work on a rotating roster may be required and safety is a priority.

KCH Pavers & Garden Supplies is a proudly family-owned business servicing Bendigo and surrounding areas. We stock and deliver a wide range of landscaping and garden products, including pavers, soils, mulches, decorative stone.

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on All-Rounder to join our small, friendly team. This varied role combines retail customer service, product advice, truck deliveries, and machinery operation, offering variety and hands-on work every day.

About the Role

This is a practical, predominantly outdoor role with a mix of customer interaction, driving, and machinery operation. No two days are the same, and flexibility, initiative, and teamwork are key to success.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Retail and Customer Service: Assisting customers with product selection, providing advice on landscaping solutions, and helping calculate quantities of product required for each job.

Loading, unloading, and delivering products using a Medium Rigid (MR) truck, ensuring safe and accurate loading with correct weights and cubic metres.

Efficient delivery and unloading at customer locations, collecting payments where required, and completing delivery documentation.

Operating a bobcat, front-end loader, and other machinery for loading and yard maintenance.

General yard duties: Maintaining product bins, tidying stock areas, weeding, rubbish removal, and keeping a safe and tidy work environment.

Maintaining presentation and cleanliness of vehicles, machinery, and work areas.

Following all safety procedures and contributing to a "safety first" culture, ensuring compliance with operational and workplace health and safety standards.

Some weekend work may be required on a rotating roster.

Key Requirements

Valid MR (Medium Rigid) truck licence with clean driving record

Strong retail/customer service skills with ability to advise customers and calculate product quantities

Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks

Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated

Team player with good communication skills

Commitment to workplace safety

Experience operating bobcats and front-end loaders

Forklift, bobcat and front-end loader licence

Landscaping, horticultural, or garden supply knowledge
