Job summary

Rexco People is seeking fit, safety-minded candidates to join our team at the Brisbane recycling yard. You will perform general yard duties, operate heavy machinery including forklift, front-end loader, skid steer, and excavator, and assist with sorting and preparing recyclable materials.

This role offers a Monday-to-Friday roster, overtime with pay, training across multiple machines, and a long-term career path for the right person in a busy outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Current ticket for forklift, front-end loader, skid steer loader (Bobcat), or excavator.
• Experience operating at least one of these machines.
• Mechanically minded and willing to learn other machinery.
• Comfortable outdoors in a busy recycling yard.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete general yard duties and material handling.
• Sort and grade recyclable metals.
• Load and unload trucks, skip bins and trailers.
• Operate a counterbalance forklift.
• Operate front-end loaders, skid steer loaders, or excavators.
• Assist with dismantling and preparing materials for recycling.
• Provide good customer service at the site entrance.
• Learn site procedures and safe machinery operations.
• Keep the yard clean, safe and organized.
• Follow WHS policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Completing general yard duties and material handling
• Sorting and grading recyclable metals
• Loading and unloading trucks, skip bins and trailers
• Operating a counterbalance forklift
• Operating front-end loaders, skid stew loaders or excavators
• Assisting with dismantling and preparing materials for recycling
• Providing good customer service to customers entering the site
• Learning site procedures and safe machinery operations
• Keeping the yard clean, safe and organised
• Following all WHS policies and procedures

About you

• A current ticket for at least one of the following: forklift, front-end loader, skid steer loader (Bobcat) or excavator
• Previous experience operating at least one of these machines
• Mechanically minded with a willingness to learn other machinery
• Comfortable working outdoors in a busy recycling yard
• Strong commitment to workplace safety

$43.64 per hour

Monday-to-Friday roster

Regular overtime hours and paid accordingly
