Job summary

MON Natural Foods Pty Ltd is seeking multiple forklift drivers to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within the warehouse, yard and operational areas. The role includes loading/unloading, moving goods, and maintaining orderly storage to enable quick retrieval.

Applicants should hold a relevant forklift/high-risk licence and a Certificate II/III or have at least two years of forklift operating experience. Attentive to safety, quality, and team collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• An additional minimum of two years of relevant previous forklift operating experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, move and position goods.
• Transport goods and materials between receiving, storage, production, dispatch and other designated areas.
• Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers and other transport vehicles using appropriate forklift equipment.
• Place goods in designated storage locations and maintain orderly storage arrangements so goods can be readily located and retrieved.
• Move and position palletised products, cartons, containers, crates and other materials in accordance with workplace procedures.
• Operate forklifts in confined and narrow areas where required, while maintaining awareness of pedestrians, other vehicles and workplace hazards.
• Monitor forklift operation through gauges, instruments and other equipment monitoring systems.
• Conduct pre-start and routine inspections of forklifts and associated equipment.
• Identify and report mechanical faults, damage, wear or unsafe operating conditions.
• Perform routine servicing, cleaning and minor adjustments to forklift equipment within the level of training and authorisation.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures, traffic-management requirements and safe manual-handling practices.
• Ensure loads are stable, appropriately positioned and within the rated capacity of the forklift before movement.
• Maintain accurate records relating to equipment checks, movements, deliveries or other operational requirements where required.
• Communicate with warehouse, production, dispatch and management personnel regarding the movement and location of goods.
• Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas around loading, unloading and storage locations.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and applicable workplace safety requirements.
• Undertake other forklift-related duties reasonably associated with the position.

Equipment and Work Environment

The position may involve operating Counterbalance forklifts, Reach forklifts, Other approved materials-handling equipment appropriate to the business operation, and Forklift attachments or specialised equipment where appropriately trained and authorised.

The Forklift Driver is required to work across warehouse, storage, loading, unloading, yard and operational areas and may be required to work around trucks, machinery, stock and other workplace personnel.

Qualifications and Licensing

Relevant forklift licence/high-risk work licence as required for the duties performed.

Relevant Certificate II or III qualification or 1 year of experience.

An additional minimum of two years of relevant previous forklift operating experience is required. Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, storage, construction-materials or similar environment will be highly regarded. Experience should include the safe movement, loading, unloading, stacking and storage of goods and materials.
