Job summary

The Yard Hand role with Chandler Macleod Group's client, a leading national paper manufacturer in Sydney, focuses on maintaining a clean, safe yard and assisting with day-to-day operations.

You will sweep floors, operate blowers, hose down areas, assist with maintenance and handle light forklift duties where licensed; strong safety focus and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, labouring or similar environments.
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work and follow safety procedures.
• Current driver’s licence preferred; forklift licence a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Sweep corridors, walkways and operational areas to maintain cleanliness.
• Use blowers to keep workspaces clean and safe; hose down areas as needed.
• Maintain yard and general housekeeping; assist with site operations and maintenance.
• Support operations team with general labouring duties as required; follow WHS procedures.

Our client is a leading national paper manufacturing company and is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand to join their team. Working within a busy industrial environment, you'll be responsible for maintaining site cleanliness, supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring work areas remain safe and efficient.

About the Role Key duties will include:

• Sweeping corridors, walkways and operational areas
• Using blowers to maintain clean and safe workspaces
• Hosing down work areas as required
• Cleaning around conveyors and production equipment
• General housekeeping and yard maintenance
• Forklift operation and material handling (where licensed)
• Assisting with site operational and maintenance activities
• Following strict workplace health and safety procedures
• Supporting the operations team with general labouring duties as required

What we're Looking For

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliability and commitment to long-term employment
• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, labouring, yard hand or industrial environments
• Ability to perform physical work and work outdoors when required
• Strong focus on safety and following procedures
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Current driver's licence preferred
• Forklift licence highly regarded but not essential
