Dowdens Pumping & Water Treatment is seeking a committed Workshop Trades Assistant to join our team. You will support experienced tradespersons with workshop tasks and maintenance, with the aim of entering a full-time Fitting/Turning Apprenticeship after a 6-month probation.

This hands-on role offers practical skill development in a busy workshop, a safety-focused environment and a friendly team culture. No FIFO; Australian work rights required.

Qualifications

• Experience in workshop environments is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn and develop practical skills in a trades environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified tradespeople with workshop tasks and maintenance.
• Overhauls and servicing of equipment as described in the job posting.
• Support the workshop team with repairs and general maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
• Record servicing information and documentation as required.
